The DCA welcomed over 90 interested participants from a total of 52 member companies. As last year the event took place as a hybrid event i.e. online participation via Zoom was also possible.

The DCA board, headed by President Jorn Stoelinga, was re-elected for the next two years. As before, the members of the board are:

After the new election of the board President Jorn Stoelinga gave an overview of the tasks and goals of the association for the 2023/24 business year. In addition to the continuation of current projects, the focus is primarily on the completion of the 5th edition of the Technical Guidelines. The members and the entire HDD industry are expecting the publication of this central building block this year. The DCA will focus on the association’s work here. Other important milestones are the members’ forum on 3rd May in Aachen and the 27th annual congress, which will take place from 4th to 6th October in Leipzig. After the very informative three-hour event, the DCA invited its members to a joint dinner at the Patentkrug.

All in all, it can be said that in recent years the DCA has come a great deal closer to the goal set by President Jorn Stoelinga in 2019: “The DCA should become more European”.

Executive Secretary Dietmar Quante praised in particular the important work of the representatives.
The companies Dr. Donié Geo-Consult and Step Oiltools were honored for their 25-year and 20-year DCA memberships, respectively.
Johannes Rotter presented his bachelor thesis.
