Partners and friendly Associations
The DCA has been working closely with various industry associations, training institutes, universities and technical colleges, organisations and the relevant trade press for years. The aim is to improve cooperation in the development of technical regulations at European level and the representation of technical interests vis-à-vis clients and authorities. In addition, the focus is on cooperation with regard to questions of education and training in the HDD industry.
Some of the institutions have meanwhile become associate members of the DCA and thus directly support the DCA’s work. Mutual membership with other associations has existed for years. Last but not least, there are further friendly contacts with other partners and associations.
The Bohrmeisterschule Celle (BMSC), Germany, a state-recognised technical school for drilling, production and pipeline technology, occupies a special position in the partnership with the DCA. As early as 1997, the first training courses for drilling foremen were held here in cooperation with the DCA. Since around 2001, the BMSC has been the DCA’s reliable partner as a training centre for equipment operators, site managers and technical supervisors. In addition to these annual basic training courses, other courses such as the HDD mud seminar are also held. The DCA is in constant contact with the management of the school, Dr. U. Grossmann. Together they strive to constantly promote and expand education and training in the HDD.
