Agenda
Below you will find further information on three important items on the agenda
A speech by Mr. Kai Hünecke from K+S AG, Kassel, on the topic of “Apprenticeship as a mining technologist” is planned in the area of training and further education. Mr. Hünecke organizes a classic three-year training course for an interest group. During this training, all mining activities necessary for exploring a deposit are learned. For optimal preparation, all basic metalworking skills are taught in the training workshops above ground at the beginning of the apprenticeship. Training courses are also held there to understand the techniques used, e.g. hydraulics and pneumatics. The basics of horizontal drilling technology are also part of the training.
The training occupation of mining technologist is recognized in Germany and could therefore be of great interest for the promotion of young talent in the HDD industry.
An amendment to the statutes in § 6 board (1) is planned as part of the Members’ Meeting. The number of assessors is to be increased due to the constant increase in the tasks to be performed on the board. This will be explained at the Members’ Meeting.
The following amendment to the statutes is to be adopted:
§ 6 The board
(1) The entire board consists of the President and three Vice-Presidents:
- A: Representative for small scale drilling,
- B: Representative for large scale drilling,
- C: Representative for Associate Members,
the treasurer and at least three to a maximum of five other board members.
Elections for the entire board will take place at the Members’ Meeting in February 2025. The board, led by the current President Jorn Stoelinga, LMR Drilling GmbH, is standing for re-election with the exception of two positions. The 2nd Chairman for large scale drilling technology, Atef Khemiri, is stepping down for professional reasons. Treasurer Jürgen Muhl has now retired and is therefore no longer available for a position on the board.
The following members will stand for election in February 2025 at the proposal of the board:
President: Jorn Stoelinga, LMR Drilling GmbH
Vice-President (Small Scale Drilling): Marco Reinhard, LEONHARD WEISS GmbH & Co. KG
Vice-President (Large Scale Drilling): Scott Stone, Michels Trenchless GmbH
Vice-President (Associated Members): Marc Schnau, x-plan schnau engineering GmbH & Co. KG
Treasurer: Ronald Siebel, Tennet TSO GmbH
Board member: Jörg Himmerich, Dr.-Ing. Veenker Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH
Board member: Camila Sanchez Prado, HDI
Board member: Dan Billig, Sharewell HDD BV |
Further proposals for the individual board positions can be made at the members’ meeting.
Voting in elections
We would like to take this opportunity to point out that each member company has one vote in the elections at the meeting. For companies that participate with several representatives, we ask you to vote in advance on who should exercise the right to vote. This is independent of whether participation takes place on site or hybrid.
Voting right transfers are possible, but must be submitted in writing in good time (transfer for a maximum of 3 votes). In this case, please complete and sign the enclosed power of attorney and send it to the office and the authorized member by 29.01.2025 at the latest (please send by email).
